The Hwange National Park is well known for its large amount of animals, as well as being the biggest and oldest National Park in Zimbabwe. The park is located south of Victoria Falls and is approximately a 3 hours’ drive. One of the most recognized and renowned true ´hidden but not forgotten gems` of Africa’s safari territory named after a local chief Hwange. Hwange is the tenth largest National Park in Africa. Covering more than 14,600 square kilometres (5,863 square miles) or 1,460,000 hectares it has more than 100 animals species than any other parks in the country, and 400 different species of birds.
Day 1 - Victoria Falls to Hwange (LD)
Your Guide Guides will pick you up from your Hotel at 09:00 and then embark on the journey to Hwange National park. On the way we will stopover at the Wild dog Rehabilitation Centre. Painted Dogs, also known as African Wild Dogs are unique to Africa and they are among this continent's most endangered species. The Painted Dog population in Zimbabwe is one of the last strongholds of the species and we are committed to their conservation. Our conservation methods and our work with the local communities are beginning to have a positive effect on the outlook of the painted Dog species. Late afternoon will be spent on a game drive around the Local concession.
Day 2 - Hwange National Park (BLD)
On this day we leave the Campsite early on a Full day game drive inside the Park, where we will spend the whole day enjoying nature as its best. There are several water holes in the park that your guide will take you to in an attempt to catch the animals during their feeding times. Your guide will drive you through the park enabling you to view animals from the top of the terrain. Lunch will be saved at one of the picnic spots.
Day 3 - End of Tour - Victoria Falls
